We Have a Mutiny on Board...

season finale
to a wonderful program
leads one to wonder

This evening, the Logo drama "The King of Spain and I", came to a screeching halt. You see, he hasn't really spoken to me in nearly a month and my efforts to get in touch with him have failed miserably. What does any of this have to do in relation to the world that keeps turning? A lot.

The Nation of Chulo prides itself on being a nearly drama-free establishment. Unfortunately, the entire conversation, from the opening "Hey" to the closing "I'm Going to Bed" was a train wreck that quickly got old. He has been incommunicado conmigo, however, more than eager to talk with everyone I see on a daily basis. He speaks to Andrelaso, Montez and Principio online; The Mother Unit and her Husband via telephone; and My Boss and Maxie over the two-way. All of the communication tools that I have tried to use to get in touch with him he can use effortlessly, however, when it comes to giving a nod to Chulo Rodriguez or vice-versa, it's division by zero. (For those who are math-inept, division by zero is left undefined in any mathematical system that obeys the axioms of a field. The reason is that division is defined to be the inverse operation of multiplication. This means that the value of a / b is the solution x of the equation bx = a whenever such a value exists and is unique.)

Figure that out; I can't.

He is under the impression that I have been ignoring him or that I have been upset with him. While I have not been ignoring him, I will admit that I did not take kindly to being ignored. I even went out of my way to plan something for his birthday, however, how can one make plans with someone who doesn't communicate with you? The point is this, I had the entire day off and wanted to do something -- I like birthday parties, I like the King of Spain -- why not throw a birthday party for the King of Spain? Makes perfect logical sense, if A then B then C. Unfortunately, formal logic does not exist in the Nation, instead we're left trying to manipulate space/time.

I'm sure he went out and hung out with all of the people in New York that he actually sees and hears from on a relatively constant basis. Not I, of course. I slept the King of Spain's birthday until the next morning. You realise that I remembered his birthday on my own and was quite excited for myself at the seemingly strange occurrence of said Eureka! moment, but it's whatever whatever.

He sent me an email about an hour ago. He compared himself to Principio and wished that they had the same benefits. That frustrated me. Principio has no special benefit that I do not afford the other citizens in the Nation of Chulo. Yes, he spends the night; yes, we hang out in the house and in the city; we eat and breathe in common time. In reality tho, these things happen because Principio and I have a relationship that involves communication. Before I lived here in Brooklyn, I would come and visit, and the King of Spain would be seen frequently. Now that I live practically next door, I've seen him about two times -- and he stopped calling and taking my phone calls.

I know this sounds like another "Woe is me; Someone's being mean to Chulo" blogs, but if you wanted to see someone like that, wouldn't you make a more concerted effort to make it happen? Shit, I've been sending text messages to a phone with no service for weeks because he turned it off. How am I supposed to know this -- I've been calling the Nextel I got him! I should have known better tho, when things go awry, it's usually going to end up my fault somehow.

Job, 10:15 -- If I be wicked, woe unto me; and if I be righteous, yet will I not lift up my head. I am full of confusion; therefore see thou mine affliction...

awwww....that just made my day right there. i love you too.

what brought that on?

just sitting here thinking, and in the void of my thoughts, that came
up.

LOL. I am still trying to string together having a void and having
thoughts in the same place. There's a concern there. =P

but i'm happy that you love me. i love you too kiddo.

picture a dark space... concentrate on the darkness, which in reality
is merely the absence of light, and then wait until that glimmer of a
spark of thought illuminates that chasm that is your mind. that's
how you have a void of thoughts.

:-D

babe - i know what a void is. we're both geeks. now if you told me your mind was a quantam singularity with a zero-point tachyon threshold, then yeah you might have to elaborate. LOL.

In physics, the zero-point energy is the lowest possible energy that a quantum mechanical physical system may possess; it is the energy of the ground state of the system. All quantum mechanical systems have a zero point energy. The term arises commonly in reference to the ground state of the quantum harmonic oscillator. In quantum field theory, it is a synonym for the vacuum energy, an amount of energy associated with the vacuum of empty space. In cosmology, the vacuum energy is taken to be the origin of the cosmological constant. Experimentally, the zero-point energy of the vacuum leads directly to the Casimir effect, and is directly observable in nanoscale devices.

Because zero point energy is the lowest possible energy a system can have, this energy cannot be removed from the system.

AND

The singularity is an object that challenges many conventions in physics. This does not mean that it does not exist, but it does mean that it would take a new view and a few new theories about physics to explain its existence properly. It is believed that a theory of quantum gravity, a theory that unifies general relativity with quantum mechanics, will eventually provide a better description of what actually occurs where general relativity breaks down in a singularity. However, as of 2006, no theory of quantum gravity has been experimentally confirmed. There are, however, a handful of promising theories in development. For more reading on the subject, see String theory (there are five of them!), M-theory (proposes to unify the string theories), Theory of Everything.

AND

A tachyon is a particle with space-like four-momentum. If its energy and momentum are real, its rest mass is imaginary. One curious effect is that, unlike ordinary particles, the speed of a tachyon increases as its energy decreases. This is a consequence of special relativity because the tachyon, in theory, has a negative squared mass. According to Einstein, the total energy of a particle contains a contribution from the rest mass (the "rest mass-energy") and a contribution from the body's motion, the kinetic energy. If m denotes the rest mass, then the total energy is given by the relation

E = \frac{mc^2}{\sqrt{1 - \frac{v^2}{c^2}}}.

We take this relation to be valid for either tachyons or regular particles ("tardyons"). For ordinary matter, this equation shows that E increases with increasing velocity, becoming arbitrarily large as v approaches c, the speed of light. If m is imaginary, on the other hand, the denominator of the fraction must also be imaginary to keep the energy a real number (since a pure imaginary divided by another pure imaginary is real). The denominator will be imaginary if the quantity inside the square root is negative, which only happens if v is larger than c. Therefore, just as tardyons are forbidden to break the light-speed barrier, so too are tachyons forbidden from slowing down to below light speed.
